Personal Statement


My name is Kennedy Runyon.  I am a senior at Tremont High School in Tremont, IL.  I am a four year varsity member of the volleyball and softball teams, and highly involved in student council. 



I have played softball since I could walk and have loved every minute of it.  I am a 3rd baseman but have also spent time at 2nd, and in the outfield. 



Last year, as a Junior, I helped lead my team to a school record 31-6 season, with an appearance in the Elite 8.  I led the team with my batting average which was .400. 



As a student I understand that sports are a privelage and not a right.  I have a 3.71 GPA and scored a 27 on my ACT.  I am interested in pursueing a degree in biology or psychology, and plan on becoming a teacher.
