Hello! I am a 5'8" corner infielder from Oak Lawn, Illinois and will graduate in 2021. I have played on highly competitive travel softball teams for 8 years and have loved every minute of it. During these years, my usual position in the batting order is in 3 or 4 spot and while I have the most experience at first base, I also enjoy third base.
I come from a very athletic family. In 2008 my mother was inducted in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Queen of Peace High School for Basketball, Softball and Volleyball. My father played Football at Leo High School where he was an all state player. My brother played for Saint Xavier University. He was named captain his senior season. He was named MSFA Midwest First Team All-Conference for 2014 and 2015. He was also elected player of the week in 2015. The Cougars played in two NAIA Football Championship Series Semifinals in his four years with SXU. My sister was a outstanding softball player at Queen of Peace High School following in our mothers footsteps. She was a four year starter with winning MVP two years and was name First Team All-Conference all four seasons. Currently finishing up her senior year at Lakeland University and playing softball for the Muskies. They talk to me all of the time about what it takes to compete and be successful physically and mentally at a high level and how important it is to be a good teammate, listener and to be coachable. They also say that having a good work ethic and time management skills are also very important.
I have very good grades with a 3.8/4 GPA and I work hard in the classroom as well as on the field both in season and out of season. I am looking for a university where I can succeed academically and make an immediate impact athletically as I am very competitive and love to play. Thank you for reading this! It has been a goal of mine for a long time to play college softball. I am very excited to find the right opportunity to play!
Thanks,
Maggie
