Personal Statement
My name is Lillian Hughes, I'm 5'10. I'm a freshman at Our Lady of Providence Junior Senior High School in Clarksville, Indiana. I started playing softball when I was six years old. I play basketball but I really like softball and take it more seriously. I've hit 8 homeruns this past fall for my new travel team the Louisville Stunners, I hit atleast one in every tournament we played this fall. My last batting practice I hit 8 homeruns on about 15 pitches the rest of my hits were still good hits mostly line drives. My first homerun was last year and my hitting has been on fire ever since, I am the 4th batter, "clean-up" batter, for the Stunners and now I am clean-up for Providence too. It's always been my dream to play in College I'm interested in the University of Florida because my 12U team, Graceland Spirit, toured the University of Florida campus when we were there for the 12U World Series. But I am open to all good softball colleges. The first game of the 12U World Series I recieved MVP. I am a good student I make all A's, and some B's. I've always been a good student and kept my grades at the honor roll level. I give all I have to everything on and off the softball field. Jacob Julius, a baseball player for the Baltimore Orioles farm league has been helping our softball team with hitting. I've been to every practice, he says I have extraordinary work ethic and I improve and work hard every practice. It really is my life goal to play division 1 softball and I try to work towards that goal everyday even if we don't have practice, rain or shine, I still go outside and practice my swings and foot work. I hope all this pays off one day. But for now I appreciate your time, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
