Personal Statement
My goals are to extend my softball playing experience beyond high school, while obtaining a quality education and life skills that will allow me to become a successful and responsible women. My short term goal is to work harder and longer at becoming the best softball player that I can be, in order to contribute to a winning softball program.
I play for the #2 ranked AAA high school team in Indiana, Gibson Southern. Contact hitting and driving balls into the gap is my specialty. Middle infield (SS & 2nd) is where I have played most of my career. I have been recognized in 2013 as All-Conference Outfielder and in 2014 All-Conference Infielder. I am comfortable at any position and I'm willing to work to earn a spot. I also play club/travel ball with the Indiana Gators. The Gators are an ASA U18A team of college bound athletes coached by a former D1 college coach Tom Rupert. Our team plays and practices with the single intent of preparing us to play college softball.
When analyzing the complete body of work within an entire season, I'm always considered to be the most consistent player and the one the leaders in all offensive and defensive categories. My level of play is exceptional or above average in all facets of the game. The intangibles of the game are also where I excel; things that are not measured but are very important, such as: Team orientation & positive influence, softball instincts & fundamentals, work ethic & dedication, contact hitting, sacrificing and moving runners, humility & coach ability.
There is no doubt that I have the skills, desires and dedication to win at the collegiate level and will be considered as one of the best personnel decisions made by the coach who allows me to contribute to their program.
