Abby Graegin '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abby Graegin, and through softball, I've learned much more than how to swing a bat or throw a curveball.  This sport has taught me about personal responsibility, work ethic, patience, and determination.  Softball has taught me how to be a good teammate on and off the field, which will be so crucial in whichever career I choose.  Most importantly, though, softball has taught me how to be a leader.  As captain of my travel team, I have learned how to be that player to "step up" and change games.  Not one player can make a team, but teams need leaders, and as a pitcher, I find it important that I be one.  The lessons I have acquired, physical and mental, through my years of playing softball drive me to aim to play at the college level.  I hope to continue to learn about life through this game and bring what lessons I have already gained to the table.
