Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Brianna Sherman and I am a member of the Class of 2015. Softball has been a huge part of my life since I was 5 years old for many reasons. First, I fell in love with the game. I looked forward to each and every opportunity to play. It also started to teach me great life lessons. Time management, self-discipline, and hard work are all positive attributes I've learned from the game that I apply on the field and in my academic life. Finally, it has given me the opportunity to build a great relationship with my family as they have been an integral part of my development as an athlete as my biggest fans, my best coaches, and my most important role models.
My goal as a softball player is to be the best teammate I can be, to be the best first baseman on my team, and to be given an opportunity to continue my career in college. I strive to improve at every practice, I have the drive to play to the best of my ability every game, and I long for the chance to play the game I love for four more years. With a GPA of 3.47, I have proven that I can balance a rigorous academic course load and a solid softball work schedule that I will need in the collegiate world.
