Personal Statement
As a sophomore in high school, my dreams right now are to be able to play college softball. I hope to join a Division 1 school, but I would be interested in a Division II or III if it is the school that is right for me. My plan right now is to study to be an athletic trainer or a physical therapist along with being an occupational therapist.
What would make me a good candidate for a team is that I am a hard worker and I will give my all for the team. I give my all at every practice to help my self along with others to improve. I am a leader and will help lead my team to success. I push people to the limit to help them get better and be the best they can be. I help the team grow as one to be the best the team can be. I am dedicated to playing softball and when I get injured, I will do whatever I can to get back to playing the sport I love.
In order to help myself be the best I can be, I lift weights twice a week and do speed training to help with my agility along with hitting on a daily basis.
I know that a lot of people on here say that they are a hard worker, but what makes me different from other people is that I tore my ACL in January 2015 and I battled back to not miss a single game of my High School Varsity softball season as a freshman. With the help of my doctor and my physical therapist, I was willing to do whatever it took to not miss the opportunity to start as a freshman.
Academically, I do very well also. I have only had A's and a few B's. I have received science awards from Purdue Science fairs. for the past 3 years. As hard as I work at softball, I take my academics even more seriously. I realize how important my academics are for my future in college and beyond. Now I am just trying to find the right school to prove how hard I work on the field and in the classroom.
