Personal Statement
The most influential moment in my high school career has been taking second place with my high school softball team my sophomore year. That season our team grew into a family, it was more than taking second place at state; it was achieving Assumption high school history by making it past the semi finals. The part of this that forced me to grow mentally and physically, was the emotions that ran through me. I wanted that state title and I wanted to change the face of Assumption softball. I knew in order to do that it would take hard work and dedication, but more than I have ever put into the past.
Finding the perfect college for me means finding one that will push me beyond my comfort zone to reach a personal best academically and athletically. My academic goals start in high school, I want to graduate with a 3.5 or higher GPA along with taking college and honors classes. This goal will help me become a better student for my college career because I plan to major in biology, and continue my education into medical school after those four years. Being a student at Assumption high school has pushed me to study harder and it has taught me the true meaning of hard work. In order for me to get to a higher level in my academic and athletic career, I have to want to be the best for myself. That competitive edge is something inside that drives me to work harder and push myself to become a better person, softball player, and student.
