Personal Statement
I played softball for the first time when I was 6 years old. I realized early on that the harder I worked the better I would get and the more I could offer my team. I haven’t looked back ever since. That drive and dedication has helped me become a strong athlete, a good student, a devoted teammate, a reliable friend, a caring older sister to 3 younger brothers, and a trusted daughter. I hope to become a physical therapist and use all these qualities to help my future clients maximize their own potential.
I set very high standards for myself in the classroom and in athletics. I strive to learn all that I can from my teachers, coaches, teammates, and experiences whether on the field or in the classroom. I have worked hard to approach learning and competition with a growth mindset. This has allowed me to persevere through adversity and find opportunities for growth where I may have felt overcome by fear of failure as a younger athlete. My coaches and teammates would describe me as driven, hardworking, and a leader. I believe that these attributes will make me a valuable college softball team member after I graduate high school as a member of the class of 2023.
