Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was in kindergarten and have loved it since my first practice. Now, I am already a Senior with only one high school season left and that just is not enough. I want to continue playing this game for as long as I can. I want to find a college that fits me, not only athletically, but academically too. I do a good job of balancing my school work with other activities, such as Softball, Tennis, Best Buddies, Emerging Leaders, and my job. That skill will help me balance the demands of a college softball program with my school work.
Throughout my years of playing, I have learned many skills to be successful in softball and in life. I have learned the importance of keeping a positive attitude, giving 110% at everything I do, never giving up, and being a respectful uplifting teammate. I would love to be on a team with teammates who share similar qualities. I know college softball will be very challenging, but I am used to taking on difficult challenges. I have been pitching Varsity softball since 8th grade, playing in one of the toughest conferences in all of Iowa High School Softball. It has not always been easy, but I am stronger today because of those challenges.
