Personal Statement
What makes me unique from other athletes is that I like involvement. I’m in several different clubs and organizations, both in and out of school. Through my experiences, I have encountered a lot of different personality traits. These encounters will benefit me throughout my life. I’ve learned that not all criticism is bad. Its helped me to have an open mind and see that 'any advice' is better than none.
This past school year I gained a lot of leadership skills. I was the starting varsity pitcher on my high school softball team; pitching all but five innings out of 24 games. My position on the team is a huge responsibility and a critical role. I have learned the bigger the roll----the bigger the accountability. I am able to perform under pressure and encourage my teammates at all times. I do the job that needs to be done for my team.
My current GPA is 3.1. I realize how important my GPA is to my success on and off the field and I will be working extremely hard the last year of high school to do the best I can. I am going to pursue a degree in the agriculture field. It's important to me to get the best education I can, to play the best game ever invented, and excel in life on and off the field.
