Personal Statement
Favorite Bible Verse - “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” - Philippians 4:13.
I began playing softball when I was around 8 years old and have since come to love this sport. I began taking pitching lessons when I was 10 and soon after I began playing travel softball. After playing travel softball for a couple of years, I quickly realized that this challenging sport is what I want to do. I want to continue to play throughout my high school career and then on to the collegiate level. In the sport of softball and with so many other sports there are many emotions that come with playing as well as life lessons that I have learned and will take with me forever. This experience and these lessons have made me into the person I am today.
Three words to describe me as a person would be hardworking, kind, and dedicated. The word hardworking means to work with energy and commitment - to be diligent. This is me anytime I step on the field for any practice or game - I will always give 110%. The word kind means to be a good or benevolent nature or disposition, as a person. I do not just care about myself but I also care about others especially my teammates and coaches. Anytime they are down or upset I always try to be there for them. I am also always the loudest one in the dugout cheering for my teammates. Finally, the word dedicated means to be wholly committed to something, as to an ideal, political cause, or personal goal. This word describes me as I always have a goal and I am always trying to achieve it, no matter what - whether it is sports, school, or life. These words all describe me perfectly because I am always displaying them in whatever I do.
To further describe myself I would say that I am optimistic - I love to learn new things - I will always invite a challenge - I work hard no matter what I’m doing - I am highly competitive, and most of all I love to be on a team who is always ready to go out and give it their all and leave it all on the field!!!
