Hello, and thank you for visiting my NCSA page. My name is Emma Ryan. I will be a 2018 graduate of Blue Valley West High School.
I have been playing softball since the age of 6 and on competitive teams since the age of 11. I am constantly working to improve my game so that my team can depend on me. When I am not hitting tees, playing catch, taking lessons, I am running or lifting to make myself a better athlete. I also enjoy playing my cello. I have played cello in the KC Youth Symphony, I am the only freshman cellist to make the Blue Valley West High School Orchestra and was named an All-District Cellist. Outside of those very time consuming passions, I like to help in the community by teaching cello lessons, catching lessons and acting as a mentor to younger softball players. I have had the very unique privileged to be mentored by some of the best players to have played this game through my parents indoor facility and I am trying to pass that on to younger players.
As a player I take great pride in being a dependable teammate that is willing to do the dirty work as a catcher to help my pitchers look like stars, and support my teammates through good and bad. I enjoy the camaraderie of a close team and doing my part to make that team successful at practice, at games and outside of practice.
My goal is to play and compete in softball at the college level and become a coach at the highest levels when my playing days are done.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile,
Emma Ryan
