Personal Statement
My name is Destini Guillory. I am 5'5" and 150 pounds. I have played for Louisiana Pride Powered by Mizuno 2012-2013, Team Louisiana in the summer of 2014, and Xplosion Softball for the fall and summer of 2015. I am an upcoming senior at Catholic High School in New Iberia, Louisiana where I play Softball. I have received honors of being on 2nd team all-district during my sophomore year and 1st team all-district during my Junior Year. I play centerfield, third base, and shortstop. I am working hard on being a stronger student athlete and an all-around player and teammate. I am very approachable, coachable and always eager to learn. I am willing to earn my playing time with dedication, perseverance, and athleticism. My dream is to play college softball and play in the Women's College World Series. Playing softball has allowed me to meet amazing people, get exposed to great opportunities, and learn more about life and the game. I would appreciate the opportunity to play at the college level. As a leader both on and off the field, I believe my ability to motivate others will be a great asset during college and throughout life. As a student-athlete, my dedication on the field permeates from the classroom. I believe that college coaches will appreciate my intelligence in the classroom just as much as my physical ability to play the game.
