A goal of mine is to make it as a college softball player. I've never had to second guess myself about this being one of my dreams so I know it's something that I want to do more than anything else. As an individual, I have the ability and talent to stand out in large groups of girls who also play softball. There may be things that other players around me can't do that I can, such as have a high flexibility level when it comes to playing positions on the field. My point of view is just fine from any angle on the field as a defensive player, and my mechanics and skills that I have learned from playing for so long have helped me be the player on the field I am today with the ability to do that. Also, it's uncommon for someone to be able to throw a ball from center field to home plate without a cutoff or dropping in font of the catcher, and in the past tournaments I have been to with my travel team my arm has came in handy with this skill. As a batter, my mentality is correct because I understand that a homerun isn't what you need every at bat to win games, most of the time it's just about base hits and making contact rather than crushing it, which is something I've learned. I know how to bunt as a righty or lefty, I can slap hit, and I'm a great power hitter as well. One huge factor that makes me different than other players is my attitude and spirit that I display on the field. If other players are down because we aren't having as great of a start than usual, I will be the last one to lose hope and the first one to cheer and pump them up. This isn't something I have to be reminded to do either, because it's a habit as of now to keep the beat going and never lose it because it's something I'm greatful to have in the game. My character would most definitely shine if a recruiter came to see me play.
