My name is Jordyn Carpenter and I am currently going into my senior year at Saint John Paul II High School, Hyannis MA and graduating in the class of 2017. I have recently transferred to St. John Paul II from Mashpee High School, Mashpee MA, where I was the starting 3rd basemen and leading the team in doubles for two consecutive years (freshmen/sophomore). I hit close to the .400 mark last season. Now, I am at Saint John Paul II where I am currently batting in the second slot in the batting order and am the starting third basemen. As a student-athlete at a Catholic school, my schedule is very rigorous and challenging. I take all honors and AP classes. I work very hard for my goals not only on the field, but also in the classroom.
For summer ball, I play for the 16u Cape Cod Dugout Dawgs A-tournament/showcase team. Here, I am the starting third basemen and captain. I typically bat lead-off or second in the batting order on this team. For three consecutive years (2014-2016) , I have made the Bay-State coastal team and compete in an olympic-styled showcase tournament called the Baystate Games, which is basically a showcase that represents the best players in Massachusetts. Through this showcase, I was invited to play in Italy on a team representing USA and competed against Italian and Australian national teams. It was an amazing experience. In winter, I have also played for the Mass Drifters 16u on the indoor team and a local indoor winter team called the Lower Cape Crush. I also work with the Under Armour Softball Factory and through my evaluation qualified for the World Series Team which trains in Oklahoma in June and a National Team which will train in Florida over Christmas break.
I am a primary third basemen. My secondary position is typically middle infield/outfield, though I am capable of playing anywhere in the field. I mainly bat right for power and contact but I also can slap left.
My goals after high school are to play softball at a competitive collegiate level, and also to excel academically with majoring in Biology or within a pre-medicine program. I strive to be the best version of myself and hopefully a role model for younger players of the game. I am a versatile player with a good attitude, looking to help out the team in any way I can no matter where I am playing or what I am doing, I will do it with no questions asked.
I would like to thank you so much for taking your time to view my page and consider me as a recruit.
