Katelyn Grasso '17 Recruiting Profile

My goals for the future are to play softball at the collegiate level and to obtain a great education that will open many doors for job opportunities.  I will do whatever it takes to get there. I've learned that you play as good as you practice and there is no such thing as too much practice. This is why I give 100% all the time. I have an extreme love for competition and I push myself harder when there is tougher competition. I always value good criticism because it has rounded me into the player I am today. I began my softball career as a pitcher and continue to work with a pitching coach in the off season. When not on the mound, I have played every position on the field except catcher. I always support my teammates and encourage a positive team atmosphere. Academically, I work very hard, and currently have a GPA of 3.79 taking all AP and honors level classes and have recently been inducted into the National Honor Society. On and off the field I strive to not only be a better player, but a better individual and a role model to those around me. I am determined to be the best player and individual that I can be.
