Mia Iodice '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old. Since the time I stepped on the team I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level, to compete with the best of the best and better my skills. I know that playing in college is a once in a life time opportunity, and I am willing to work hard to accomplish my goal of playing at the best level. I am a team leader and try to set good examples for my teammates as well as the younger players that come to watch. I am always the first player on the field and the last one to leave. I work hard and keep a level head during the game. If I make a mistake or do something wrong the next inning I will get out there and work even harder to forget about that mistake. In the classroom you will find me to be just as hard a worker as on the field, maintaining a high GPA. Being a student athlete doesn't give me any privileges but makes me realize that I have to work twice as hard as my classmates. I also volunteered as a coach to help out the younger players in our organization. I hope to attend a college where I can push myself on the field as well as in the classroom, working hard day in and day out. My goal in the end is to make a difference on the team as well as being a team leader.
