Personal Statement
Hello Coach my name is Danielle Edmands, but everyone calls me Dani. I am going into my senior year in high school and am looking forward to further my education by enrolling in college. I am very excited about continuing my involvement in my sport, softball. I am 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weigh 143 pounds. My primary position is catcher and I also play first and outfield. I am quick, intense and serious about excelling at my position, knowing how much of an impact it has on the game. I truly feel at home behind the "dish". I would have to say that one of my most important accomplishments was being named one of the top ten hitters in my high school division freshman, sophomore and junior year. Another honor that I was awarded this past season was making the 100 hit club for my school. It truly was rewarding to see that all my long hours of training paid off. I am 110% dedicated to my education and sport at all times. I have been complimented time and time again on my work ethic and effort that I put into practice on the field and in the classroom and it truly shows when I perform. I am personally driven to perform and work at my highest level possible in everything that I do. I am ready and willing to go anywhere to college. I have no preference as to the size and location of the school. All I want is a great education and to play ball. In addition to applying to college my family and I will also be applying for financial aid in order to help further my education. When it comes to competing in collegiate softball Coach it has been my dream every since I fell in love with the sport. I am prepared to make an impact and contribute to a program as soon as I arrive as a freshman. Whatever my role becomes I will fulfill it to the best of my abilities. I am ready and extremely excited to contribute to a competitive program and to help further its success and love of the game. Thank you so much, I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely Dani Edmands
