Personal Statement
I attend the Science and Math Academy at Aberdeen High School. This NMSI sponsored program is a rigorous, challenging program geared toward students with high interest in Science and Math. My course load and class types are designed to prepare me for the college program(s) of my choice. I worked very hard to get accepted into this program, and will work hard to excel in it. That being said, I have worked and am working just as hard out of the classroom. I spend my free time studying and practicing, to me, these are the most important things. What makes me different from other student athletes is that I welcome and want to be challenged by every teacher and coach, to be able to prove that I deserve the attention that I receive. However, I take my time to give back to anyone who ever asks for it. I am a kind and caring person that loves to help my peers any way I can. My aspirations and goals at this point are not 100% clear. I know I want to go to college and play softball, I would love to play in the College World Series, and possibly on the National Team ( and of course I hope softball is accepted as an Olympic sport again, so that I could play on an Olympic Team!) My ideal career would be to combine science and athletics in some capacity, to keep my interests together, however, I'm 15 and that could change!
