Personal Statement
Coming into my sophomore year my goal is to become an interest of colleges that I want to play for. I have always wanted to play college ball and I work hard every day to get closer to my goal. Whether it is simply hitting off the tee or playing catch, I am always trying to improve so that I can play at the next level. Another goal that I have is to become an orthopedic surgeon. Ever since I was little I have always wanted to be some sort of doctor. My heart became set on my current goal when I was 13. When I was 13 I had torn my meniscus in my left knee and when I had surgery I knew right away that this is what wanted to do. I'm different from other recruits because either on or off the field I am always cheering my team on and picking people up when their down. I'm a natural leader and on the field I am always talking and communicating with my team on the next play. Softball is my passion and my life. I don't know what I would do without it. Softball has taught me confidence, mental toughness, friendship, leadership, and positivity. In school I work hard to keep my grades all A's and try very hard to keep my GPA at a 4.0. I take all honors classes to challenge myself and plan on taking AP classes in my junior and senior year. I am going to start studying for my SAT this year just to get a head start. Academics matter so much to me because they reflect on me as a person and how hard I am willing to work to reach my goal of playing at a high collegiate level and getting into medical school.
