Personal Statement

I have always dreamed of playing college softball, growing up fully supported to play since I was 6 years old. My family has always encouraged me to improve and face the highest level of competition we could find. Even when I started to have success in other sports like cross country and track with records in the 1/2 mile and 1 mile races and most recently when my club volleyball director encouraged me to pursue being a D1 libero, there was still no question in my heart that for me, it is softball first and will always be softball first! I would love to play for a winning organization that welcomes well rounded students, leaders and athletes into their family. I could not imagine working hard to achieve my college degree without having to workout, go to practice and prepare for the big games, as it is part of who I am. As proven by my previous coaches comments and endorsements from teachers to receive accolades like the 2016 Outstanding Student Citizenship Award for Clarkston, I will bring a unique work ethic combined with passion, empathy and sound leadership behaviors to improve those around me help my team achieve a common goal!

  • Seasons of Club Experience

  • 2018 MI Finesse (National 18U)
  • 2017 Finesse Dreher16U (National)
  • I improved playing some very highly competitive 16U (MI Finesse Dreher – National Team) ball over my 2017 season in every aspect of the game. For example, on defense, increased speed and much improved reads took me from a solid outfielder to one who has taken many hits away in big games. On offense, I continued to be one of the toughest outs with a .500 BA and a .571 OBP during the PGF Nationals in California. My strength in hitting gappers continued after the high school season, recording multiple extra base hits in the Colorado Power Pools and JO Cup in Missouri and showing home run power at the DeMarini Classic in Chicago. At a few of these intense tournaments I faced some tough 18U pitchers and not only realized that I can compete but that my best opportunity for improvement will be to play on a Finesse 18U Team this Fall and Summer of 2019, as I want to be totally prepared and confident at the next level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
