Personal Statement

Softball has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. From t-ball at age 4 to youth baseball to softball and becoming a varsity starting shortstop for the past 3 years softball has been my one true passion. I have played travel softball since 8th grade and ever since I have played at the higher level and practicing in all of the off seasons I knew my passion for softball would never end and I set the goal for myself of playing at the higher level of collegiate softball. My passion  and love for the game started at age 4 and has never stopped growing.

I would make a good candidate for your team because softball season never ends for me. My dedication to the game and getting better is clear. In the winter I am practicing multiple times a week in the gym and work closely during the season with my personal hitting and pitching coach. I never want to stop practicing, even during basketball season, in hopes of being the best softball player I can be. I am also a leader on my travel and varsity softball teams. I like to view myself as setting the tone for the team and maintain a positive, upbeat attitude and pick up my teammates when they need it. I am also a 3 year team captain on my varsity team and a 2 year receiver of all-conference 1st team at shortstop and all-area team at shortstop. I can play outfield, pitch strikes or can even catch if called upon. Anything for the tean.

What sets me apart from other recruits in athletics is how coachable I am. I take things in quickly and hope to improve my game at every practice. I realize when I am doing incorrectly and make quick fix's when I realize. What sets me apart in academics is my devotion to my studies. Being a student athlete means school comes first and sports second and I find that very important. I am also a multi sport athlete. During basketball season my number one priority is to succeed in the classroom so I then can succeed and do great things on the court/field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
