Ever since I was a little girl, I would play catch with my dad in the yard. Doing this was where I grew to love the game of softball. It has helped me grow so much as a person, and it’s always been a huge part of my life. I play three sports, and none of them can even compare to how much softball has impacted my life. If someone were to ask why I play softball, I don’t think I could fully answer that question. I can’t describe it. There’s just something about it that makes me NEVER want to quit.
Softball gives me the mentality of never quitting and working hard 24/7. I can uplift teammates, and bring nothing but positivity to the team. Whenever music plays, I’m usually the one dancing and singing my heart out, but I know when it’s time get serious and start working. Most of my team and coach sees me as that hard working yet quirky teammate. Smile’s and laughter are contagious, along with hard work, and a can-do attitude, which is a big part of leadership, and I can bring that to a team.
With all the hard work I have put into this sport, I have the goal of playing for a D1 or D2 school. I would be happy with any location, but I am interested in schools that are in the south-east. I would also love to study and get a career in the medical field as a neurologist. I manage to balance all of my sports and academics very well, which is an important aspect athletes need to have.
