Personal Statement
My name is Camille Wadley. I am a senior at Vicksburg High School, a small school located south of Portage, Michigan. I plan to major in Chiropractic Care while attending college. Even when I was younger, I was very competative when it came to sports. I still am and that's what makes softball so great. It's a fast paced, highly competitive game. Catching is what I love and it's an important role in this sport. Informing my teammates of the current situation and framing pitches; it's what I live for on the field. Taking control and being the best teammate I can possibly be. Catching is definitely a leadership position and keeps me involved in every play of the game, making it the best position on the field. Leadership is not just important in softball, but also any other activity or sport. I have been a team captain in softball and volleyball for the past several years. Playing at the college level is a huge goal of mine. I just want to be on the field with my teammates, playing the sport I love the most. On the field, I'm mentally strong. I do not let an error affect me negatively. It drives me to dig deeper and move on to the next play. Everyone makes mistakes and we have to learn from them. When it comes to school, I am very focused on my grades. I don't always get all A's but I continue to work hard and strive for them.
Thank you for taking your time to read my personal statement.
