Nicole Ries '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8" pitcher from Mankato, Minnesota. I have started on the Mankato East High School varsity softball team since my eighth grade year, being the starting pitcher since 9th grade. I have been all conference 4 times, all section 3 times, and all tournament at state 2 years in a row. This year I also recieved first team all state. Our team has gotten 3rd place at state the past 2 years, while winning the conference my 9th and 11th grade years.

I have started this recruiting process quite late, but i still want to get my name out there and try to play at the highest level possible. I am open to all colleges at all levels, hoping to have the best experience I can. I haven't completely decided on a degree to pursue, but I do have an interest in psychology. I believe I would be a good candidate for red shirting, having experienced a later than average growth spirt, I have plenty of room to grow before I reach my full potential. I want to go to a school that has great team chemistry and that is highly competitive.
