Personal Statement
My name is Kate Baxter and I am a junior at New Bloomfield High School, in New Bloomfield, Missouri. I have been playing softball since I was four years old, and have loved every minute of it. I am always working to get better and grow as an athlete, as well as becoming a better person. I am a hard worker with great determination and a positive attitude everywhere I go.
Although working hard on the field is important, working hard off the field is no different. I currently have a high GPA with a goal to end the school year with over a 4.0. I am a two-year starter for my high school softball team and a three-year varsity runner for track. I also started varsity for my basketball team this past season. I was also voted a team captain for my softball team by my teammates. This has given me the opportunity to gain leadership skills and help others as well as helping myself.
Faith, and having a relationship with God, are important to me. I am a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, and have attended church my entire life. I am also a member of National Honor Society and female representative of the junior class in student council. I am a part of my schools STEM club and FBLA organizations as well.
Thank you for viewing my profile. I look forward to working with colleges to see if I would be a good fit for their program.
