Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Kaidron McClafferty, but my friends call me Kaid. I am a 2018 right-handed pitcher and batter from a little town called Butte, Montana. My height is 5'11" and my average speed is 61-63 mph so far. I also throw a rise, drop, off-speed, and screw ball.
I have dreamed and planned to become a Physical Therapist. I love working with people and I am passionate about the human body and how it works. I want to help people get the most out of their bodies and heal as fast and as well as possible.
I've always taken sports very seriously and worked extremely hard to get where I am today. I have an extreme competitive desire, and every time that ball is in my hands, I can't help but feel as though it's where I belong. Ever since I was a 7 year old, barely able throw a ball let alone pitch one, I've always been determined to do my best in everything I set my mind to. My devotion progressed me to when I first started high school as the starting varsity pitcher. Keeping my position to this day, I have been awarded the Outstanding Defensive Softball Player award my freshman and sophomore years as well as an All-Conference Honorable Mention in my sophomore year. Although I love to win as much, if not more, than anyone else, I also cherish the memories I make with my teammates. One of my biggest strengths is that I've built up a huge endurance and my last pitch is always as fast as my first. I believe in giving my all in every second of the game and devoting every ounce of passion for the sport I love. Aside from softball, I am also a multi-sport athlete, playing varsity basketball and constantly in the gym or working out with Cross Fit. I also have a 3.4 GPA and take the higher classes to challenge myself. It's always been something I enjoy, so I want the chance to show everyone that a small town girl such as myself can achieve my dreams while playing the sport I love and making some of the most important memories of my life. Thank you for viewing my profile!
