Personal Statement
My name is Carrie R. Nagle and I am currently a junior at Dawson County High school in Glendive, Montana. At this time I am playing varsity basketball. During my down time I practice pitching with the varsity catcher or a member of my family.
I started playing softball in the softball league in Glendive. My mom was my coach until I was in 8th grade. The summer of my 5th grade year I learned how to fast pitch. As the years went on I continued to get help from coaches to improve my pitching style, speed and accuracy. My 7th and 8th grade years I played on a 14u travel softball team from Glendive that traveled to Western MT, North Dakota and South Dakota during June and part of July. I also played at the Snake River Summer Smash in Idaho Falls, Idaho with a travel ball team from Great Falls, MT my 7th grade year. Due to an ACL tear that occurred my freshman year as I was in my 3rd varsity basketball game I was unable to play softball that year. After a tough recovery & many physical restrictions, I was able to play basketball my sophomore year and also start varsity at 1st base and pitch on the JV team for softball. I received All Conference Honorable Mention for 1st base as a sophomore. This year as a junior I received 1st team All-state in pitching for my conference.
This past summer I played travel softball with a team from Miles City, MT and I also received pitching lessons from an accomplished pitcher from MSU-Billings.
My family and I reside on a farm in Lindsay Montana which is 30 miles from Glendive. I am the oldest of 4 children and I love to ride and train horses. I believe I am a hard worker and a team player due to me being raised on a farm.
