Personal Statement
I love softball and work hard at being the best player I can be all the time. I support my teammates and listen to my coaches, no matter what. I hustle and know my job, no matter what position I am playing. Academics have never really come naturally to me, and I have to work hard for the grades I get. Although, I feel I've always wanted to participate in athletics due to the support and love from my older brother, Jimmy. When I was younger, I participated in many different sports, including competitive jump rope. In 2011, I went to the AAU Junior Olympics in New Orleans and came in the 5th place in the country in my age group for one of the events. That was really fun, but after that, I decided to start to focus on softball instead of jump rope. I started playing travel softball in the fall of 2012, right before I turned 14, and it has been softball only since then, other than some track and field for my school teams. Family is really important to me and I consider my team my family. I would really love to go to a school to support my softball dreams of being a starter at the collegiate level, and I'd really like to make a difference in their existing softball program. After college, I'd like to become a Occupational therapist or a team trainer. I'm very excited about the next step in my journey, and hope to find the perfect school to help me achieve my goals, on and off the field.
