Personal Statement

I am a 5'8”, 150 lb 1st baseman from Newport, NC. Softball is and has always been my passion and it would be an honor to be able to continue playing at the collegiate level.  My most important accomplishments include being selected as a 3A All-Conference, All-District, and All-State player as a Varsity freshman and 3A All-Conference and Most Valuable Player as a Varsity sophomore.  I was only 1 of 8 North Carolina Freshman selected as an All-State player and claimed my school’s record for Highest Batting Average in the history of the softball program as a Varsity sophomore.  I continue to be one of the top RBI producers as a left-handed hitter on my high school and travel teams.  I was tabbed by my high school coach as the outstanding varsity newcomer as a freshman replacing a senior 1st baseman and moving to the top of the lineup.  I bring a fearless defensive glove to the team and a strong left bat to the lineup.

I treat every practice like a game. Games AND practices are all opportunities to learn and improve.  Even in my off season, I practice and train to improve my technique.  I continuously work on my mental strength and focus because I believe success comes through this mind set and work ethic. I believe that goals are important, but it’s the journey as a TEAM that gets you there!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
