Personal Statement
Softball has always played a major role in my life. This sport has led me to so many amazing friends, memories, and opportunities. I find it very important and essential that I take advantage of those opportunities to shape a better future for me. I want to be involved in softball as long as I can, whether i'm playing college ball or mentoring younger girls. I aspire to become a successful physical therapist or an occupational therapist and require a good college education to achieve that goal. I am a very determined person and I know I can achieve my goals of playing college softball by staying focused on and off the field. I currently maintain a 3.5 GPA, I am involved in DECA, Key Club, Leo Club, Health Professions Club, GGAA (Gering Girls Athletic Association), and I have a part-time job. I'm learning to manage my time wisely while still preparing for the upcoming season. On the field, I am a leader and like to keep my teammates motivated. I let them know how many outs there are and where the next play will be, whether I am on the mound or in the dugout. Off the field, I try to be a leader to my best ability. Being involved in different clubs at my high school gives me the advantage to improve my leadership abilities and meet new people. My travel team and I have experienced many great memories together from runner-up at the World Series to Winning Nebraska and Colorado State in the same week. As for my high school team, we have improved and acconplished so much! Recently, we just got runner-up at districts which has not been dine by the gering softball team since 1999. These are memories I will never forget, and will want to continue to create in college. I am always up for critisism from coaches, teammates, and parents because it will make me a better player and person in the future.
