Personal Statement
Hello!
My name is Hanna Cress. At the age of 4, I played my first tee ball game. It was then that I fell in love with this sport and never looked back.
My primary position is Pitcher. I am confident in all of the work I have put in and everything I have learned along the way to earn my spot in the circle and to get the job done for my team. I would have to say that one of my greatest strengths as a pitcher is my mental game, I don’t let things get me down and I can come back after a big hit or missed pitch. Although I am a confident person, I am not selfish. I am willing to do whatever is best for the team. I am HUGE about teamwork, without my teammates I wouldn’t go very far. Close relationships with teammates and coaches are very important to me. When it comes to hitting, I am a power hitter. I look to advance or score runners. My typical go-to pitch would have to be inside. The feeling of squaring up on the perfect pitch and driving the ball to advance runners is what makes the game so much fun!
Education is my main priority because I wouldn’t have the opportunity to play college softball if I didn’t have the grades. I won’t be able to perform on the field if I can’t perform in the classroom. I am still undecided on my major, but I know I will give my best to both my education and my sport.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and helped me get to where I am today. Without the help of my parents, coaches and teammates, I wouldn’t be the player and person I am.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile!
