Personal Statement
My family has been a big influence on who I am. My parents have taught me that dedication and effort will help me persevere through difficult situations. I grew up watching my sister play softball so it inspired me to give softball a try and I fell in love with the game and eventually fell in love with pitching.
In my early years of playing softball I was not given the opportunity to pitch, being told I wasn't good enough. I learned how to take the criticism and turn it into motivation. I practiced as much as possible and went to pitching lessons. Not only did I grow as an individual athlete, I learned what it means to be a teammate and play for my team.
My goals in college are to major in physical therapy/rehabilitation, and minor in psychology.
I believe that my competitiveness, willingness to learn, grow and be a team player makes me compatible for many programs.
