Marissa Varela '18 Recruiting Profile

My goals for college is to be accepted to a college that can offer me a great academic experience one that will help me achieve a medical Degree, along with a great Athletic department. For as long as I can remember I've always dreamed of attending a Division I college and playing for their softball team. I live by the motto PRIDE, HARD WORK,  AND DEDICATION because this applies to all aspects in life. Softball is a sport I have a passion for I literally can say I live for the game. What makes me different from others is that I push myself to achieve higher limits academically, physically, and mentally. I feel like I'm different from others because I always put school and my grades first. As an athlete I'm different from others because I never give up and I never say I'm going to give up. Throughout the years I've been playing I always hear " I give up" or " I can't do this" but I just focus on overcoming obstacles.
