Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Alexis Palombi. I am a 2023 graduate of Washington Township High School. For a little background information, I started playing ball around the age of 3. I was a little munchkin! At the age of 7, I made my first travel team. From that point forward softball wasn't just a game, it was a lifestyle. It has been a huge part of my life. By now softball and I are like sisters. We never let a day go by without seeing each other. Just like sisters, we have our good days and our not so good days, but in the end we still love each other. Softball has taught me a lot on and off the field. My commitment to the sport has taught me taught me the importance of time management; how to manage school work, softball, AFJROTC, field hockey, friends and family. The leadership skills I have learned on the field have taught me how to command the field and how to walk into a class like AFJROTC and find success. The ups and downs that I have gone through while playing has allowed me to see that every aspect of life is like that and in order to find the success you need; you must always find the positives in the negatives.
Looking towards my future, I would like to continue my softball career into college. I would like to play at the next level in college and further my education at the same time. I believe I want to go into a medical field while working with children.
