Jessica Fleck '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5' 0" junior from Bethlehem, NY (near Albany).  Small strike zone, that's true, but I'm also a switch-hitter with surprising power and 2.8 speed - even a little faster from the left side.  Softball has been my passion since I first played at the 10U level, but I have played both softball and soccer year round since then.  I've been on the Bethlehem Central HS varsity team since freshman year. I am a competitive hard-worker and a straight-A student with excellent time-management skills.

I am looking for a solid academic foundation and the opportunity to play high-level softball on a competitive team.  I'm an impact player. I get on base, steal bases, manufacture runs and play solid defense.  I'm hoping to find a program that would give me an opportunity to contribute early and often in my college career.  I would especially like to learn from a really good coach who can prepare me to stay involved in the game I love by coaching teams myself in the future.

I am primarily interested in colleges in the Northeast, within a few hours drive home to Albany, but I would consider other locations if the fit is right.  Ideally, it would be a small to mid-sized school with a great academic reputation, good facilities and a suburban or rural campus.  However, I am open to different types of schools.
