Hello Leslie Lutin here and I'm ready to fill your roster needs,
My primary positions are First Base, Outfield and Pitcher, but i am not limited to only those. I have played every position on the field in a competitive nature. I can Slap, Power Bunt, and Bunt lefty, and power bunt and bunt righty as well as swinging away hitting for contact and power from both side of the plate. I recently was invited and went to play softball in Italy and Greece. We enhanced student relation, promoted the game we love and represented the U.S.A. in a very rewarding retreat.
I am currently a senior attending Sachem North High School. I am someone who never lets anything stop or slow me down. From early on in life I learned I had to and how to push myself to do what I wanted. This is due to the fact that when I was 6 years old I was diagnosed with a heart condition (Coarctation of the aorta). Seeing I was an active child my cardiologist allowed me to continue with physical activities, but warned me that I would never be topping any lists. Refusing to be limited I pushed myself and always stride to be the best I could be. I went on to earn a black belt in karate and combat Ju Jitsu. I am involved with many clubs at school, and reached the level of cadets in the girl scouts. While in the scouts, and with local churches and my cardiologist's office I am always involved in community service. Including being a junior training with fit kids for life, a program to help children understand the importance of exercise and physical activity. Hoping and working to do for future kids with heart condition as my doctors have done for me, I want to go into the field of pediatric cardiology. I baby sit and pet sit, and handle all my responsibilities presented to me on any given day. Responsibility a word I know well, having to stop playing the game I love to assure my grades bounce back, and return to good study habits. Refocused, and knowing that there has to be a balance, plus having the all clear from my cardiologist to continue in competitive sports I returned to softball. I quickly got back to form and am eager to play at a collegiate level. I learned that with playing and being a part of other great things, you can't just excel in one thing, you must give your all in all you choose to do. You must push yourself yet maintaining a balance and always do the best you can, otherwise you'll never know what you can accomplish, and in the end you do not let anyone down but yourself. I am presently taking honors in all my classes with the exception of English.
Thank you for your time.
