Personal Statement
I fell in love with softball in 5th grade. The coach started a team. We played a couple of competitive games and I was hooked. I played recreational ball and went to the local college camp. I started to learn to pitch and worked hard to develop that skill. Besides pitching, I believe its important to be an all around player who hits, plays infield and outfield. I've learned the importance of conditioning and train to develop power, speed, quickness and agility.
I play travel with the Empire State Huskies Premier coached by John Pryor. I was the 2017 Rookie of The Year for our varsity team at Lourdes. I enjoy being part of a team. I encourage my teammates and I never give up. The best part of being on a team is friendships, even becoming friends with opponents. When I get to play against a friend I met at camp or played with on another team it brings out the best in my competitive nature.
Looking ahead to college, I have interests in Criminal Justice or Physical Therapy. One of my goals is to play college softball. I'm looking to be part of a college program where i can grow as a player and make a contribution at practice, during games and off the field as well. I believe being a well rounded player who can hit will be an asset to the team and coach willing to give me an opportunity. I'm a unique person with an upbeat personality. I love to laugh, I'm a hard worker, and I have a loyal spirit. Thank you Coach for reading my personal statement, I hope to hear from you.
