Megan Leitner '17 Recruiting Profile

My personal goal is to attend a college I know can and will support my academics and athletics. I plan on playing the sport I truly love, softball, in a college that offers a great management program. Hopefully, one day I can obtain the opportunity to work in the sports industry in management and/or marketing.

 I just finished up two great seasons playing Par- troy East little league senior league all-stars, coming second in the state of NJ and playing for the Jersey Girls,an 18u showcase team. Whether it is working on my swing inside, or hitting soft toss on a field, I am always finding ways to improve my hitting motion. Hitting is what I strive to do my best at, and keep getting better at it. When I am not hitting, or enhancing my fielding skills in the outfield, I am learning as much as I can and studying to get the higher grade and GPA. At least 2-3 times a weak I attend strength and speed training to excel even more while base running, fielding and hitting.  I also participate in my local girl scout troop.In the next two or three years, I hope to achieve the gold award by working 60 hours on a project to improve an issue.

School comes first in my world, but softball is a close second. Between my education, athleticism, and volunteer work, I plan to get into a college with a great academic and athletic program!
