Personal Statement
As I progress as a softball player, the more I value the importance of a team effort. From the tough losses and the shutouts I pitched, and everywhere in between, I learned the importance of working hard to improve and play my best, and also to encourage my team members. From every game, I learned how I need to represent my team, school, and family as a successful student-athlete. All of the challenges that I am faced with have helped me learn the way to have a great character. I am not only looking for a program with great softball community, but also a school with great academics that will fit my needs after college. I bring a smile that people always look at to brighten up their day. My smile defines my character, because I have a character that others enjoy being around, and encourages my teammates. Coaches tell me that when I need to change something to make myself better, I make adjustments right away. I believe that being coachable, combined with my talent and daily work ethic, will help me reach my full potential in softball.
