Personal Statement
Hi my name is Machala Andrews, I am a first basemen and I have been playing softball for about nine years. I started off in house league and quickly moved onto a travel team. I play for Lake Shore High School and have been the starting first basemen since the seventh grade. The travel team that I play for is called WNY Dazzlers. We have been together for six years now. We play year round with weekly practices and off season training during the winter season.
In school, I am a hard working and respectful young lady. I enjoy school every day with my friends and teachers knowing that it will help me in the future. I intend to study Physical Therapy. This major fits me well because I enjoy helping others and have a very big interest in the medical field.
On the field I am always giving 110%. I am always talking on the field or in the dugout encouraging my team on. I take every practice as a way to improve my skill level for my next game. With wanting to reach my dream of playing college softball for a competitive and well academic school I feel that my motives in softball will help me greatly.
One major part of my softball career that I can say has made me the player today is my number one fan, my father. He is always there for me when I need help simply with my swing or a little kick in my step to take that extra step to get better.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile, hope to communicate with you in the future.
