Jessica Farkas '17 Recruiting Profile

A college aspiration that I have is to play softball. I want to study child phchology and I couldn't imagine attending without playing softball. I have played since I was 4 and have been on the varsity since 8th grade. I am a catcher, and really enjoy the pressure that comes along with it. Hitting however, is where my true passion is. I am a power hitter, who really enjoys running the bases too!  I play a sport every season including soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring. Softball is definitely my best, and what I enjoy doing the most. I have been chosen for the first team IAC as a sophomore, and second team as a freshman. I was also the captain of my softball team as a sophomore, and my soccer team as a junior. I have also been president of my class, and student council my whole high school career, so I know how to lead. I work in the weight room everyday during the winter, and play in a league during the summer. I have carried an average of 95 or above basically my whole high school career, and am ranked 4th in my class. I am always focused on my grades because it is important to me to do well. I can balance my time between my education and athletics, which is why I would be a great recruit for any college around. Also my love for the game is so strong that I will do anything to be able to continue playing in my future.
