Joelle Salisbury '15 Recruiting Profile

For my college career, I am hoping to pursue a career in Business and Sports Management.  By doing so, I hope to combine my love for sports and academics into a lifelong career.

As a pitcher, I’ve learned discipline and motivation which assists me in day to day life.  I’ve also learned how being part of a team helps develop strong lasting relationships and how important it is to rely on each other to ensure positive outcomes.

Academically, I’ve faced a few challenges during my high school career in the math and sciences, but find myself working harder each year to become a better student while also building upon my language, writing and communication skills to prepare for a college curriculum focused on business management.  Needless to say, the relationship I hold with my twin sister Alyssa as a sister and catcher is something that is so important to me and has really helped me in my pitching development and game-time performance.  Together, we have produced consistently on the field for both our high school team and our club team, the Electric City Bombers Gold College showcase team.  Over the last 66.2 innings, we’ve allowed only 1 HR, 8 BBs and have a 1.22 ERA.  Over the last four showcase tourneys, my ERA is .129 with a strikeout to walk ratio of 16:1 (64:4). I believe our unique relationship as twins will allow this level of performance and teamwork to translate nicely to our college careers and is something no other pitcher or catcher would possess.
