Personal Statement
I started playing softball when I was 5 years old and have always had a love for the sport. My goal is to get into a great school, get a great education and continue to play the sport that I love. I have played on a few different travel teams and have worked closely with many different coaches and trainers over the years. I take what they are telling me to heart and I then work even harder to perfect that. My passion is Pitching, however, I do play First Base as well as Second Base too. I am a pretty quiet, but strong person and I do not fall easily under pressure. I tend to pull myself together in sticky situations, and work even harder. I work very hard at my academics and I really enjoy volunteering in my free time. I spend time participating in different activities through my school, teaching a first grade religion class through my local parish and also working with elementary/middle school children as a tutor. In the summer months, I work as a sports counselor at a local camp. I really enjoy teaching the little kids sports and showing them the right and wrong way to play. They really look up to me, especially being an athlete myself. I am not exactly sure what I want to study in college, however, I have an interest in Athletic Training/Physical Therapy as well as Criminal Justice. I would love to play softball at a highly competitive level in college.
