Erin Caputo '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6'' pitcher from Sayville, New York. I will graduate in the class of 2011. I have nine years of travel softball experience and I am currently a part of St. John the Baptist's varsity softball team. As a team, we won back-to-back New York State AA Catholic High School State Championships in 2008 and 2009. In 2010, we finished 18-6 and were Regional Champions. I pitched in 18 of our 24 games, including 5 complete games during the playoffs. I am looking to pursue a school where I can find the right balance for myself as a student as well as a competitor. I would love to pursue a college that is mid-sized with a nice town atmosphere. Since all of my family is located in New York, I have been exploring the East Coast schools but I am very open to explore elsewhere. I feel that I would be a good fit at the college level because I am a very strong leader and enjoy the team atmosphere; I have been named team captain of my travel softball team for the past two years because of my leadership abilities. I am currently an All-League selection for my junior year. I'm looking forward to speaking with you soon to learn more about your program.
