I began playing Varsity Softball my 8th grade year. I played third base and shared the team’s pitching responsibilities. My freshman year I became the starting pitcher for the Varsity team. In that year, I was named to the Section V Wayne County All Star 2nd Team and the Section V All Tournament Team. My sophomore and junior years I continued as the team’s starting pitcher and became an offensive leader. In those two seasons I was honored by being named to the Section V Wayne County All Star 1st Team and the All Greater Rochester Honorable Mention Team. I am looking forward this spring and my senior year softball season.
I began playing club softball when I was 11 years old. I am currently training with the Penfield Cobras 18U team and will be playing with them this summer. My experience with travel softball has allowed me the opportunity to play other positions in addition to pitcher. I feel outfield is my strongest field position although I have spent many successful innings at second base. One of many very memorable experiences was going to the Canadian World Series of Softball, making it to the finals and being named to the CWSS All Star Team.
Academically, I have put my best effort into every task assigned. With the use of this quality, I have become a member in National Honor Society and have earned a GPA of 3.7 / 4.0. Throughout my high school academics, I have always favored mathematics and science classes. Currently, I am taking multiple AP and Honors classes that are offered in order to continue my preferred major of Biology. My goal is to attend a graduate school and become a Physician's Assistant. The undergraduate college I choose will prepare me for the future I'm striving for.
Athletically, I played on the Varsity soccer team for four years and was selected by my teammates and coaches to be a Captain for the past three years. Also, for the last three years, I was named to the Section V Wayne County All Star Team. In the winter I have participated on the Varsity Indoor Track team for four years and I have been a team Captain for the last three years. Events have included, but were not limited to, running the 55 Meter Dash with a personal best of 7.96 seconds and 300 Meter Dash with a personal best of 45.73 seconds to date.
I am excited about the next chapter of my life academically and athletically. I believe I possess the stamina to continue following my path at the collegiate level with successful results that will positively effect myself and my future team.
