Personal Statement

My goal is to play softball at a Collegiate level.  I feel my strong desire to play and endless hard work sets me aside from other candidates.  As a freshman, I achieved:  1st team All Conference, 1st team All Northwest District, 1st team all area (media), Honorable Mention All State with batting average of .529, slug percentage of .800 and on base percentage of .622.  I hold the 4th highest batting average record in a single season as a freshman in school history. As a sophomore, I held a .417 batting average, 2nd on the team with RBIs at 32 and led the team with walks. I was named 1st team all conference as a shortstop, 1st team all area (media) 2 counties and was nominated and chosen to play in the ASA/USA All Ohio All Star game. I hold the all time career batting average in school history.   As a junior, I batter .447 holding the most runs scored (37), most doubles, 12, 2nd in batting average  and rbis and on team and lead the league in runs and doubles aND rbis .  I was named 1st team all conference for the 3rd year, honorable mention all district and 1st team all area ( media) for the 3rd year.  I am also a 3 year all academic athleye.  I hold a 3.58 cumulative GPA and feel academics is extremely important. I am very involved in extracurricular activities such as National Honor Society, Band, Pep Band, Pep club, Foreign Language Club, Yearbook and Volleyball.  I am a strong leader and lead by example.  I am willing to put forth as much hard work as possible to achieve my goal of playing softball at a collegiate level.
