Personal Statement
Softball has always been a huge part of my life. I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old. My aspiration has always been to play softball at the collegiate level. I want to find a college that sees me as an asset to their softball program, and allows me to seek the degree I wish to obtain. My dream is to study abroad, travel, and incorporate 3rd world countries. I have always been a team player, and playing four varsity sports as a Freshman and Sophomore, and now a Junior, was and is a great accomplishment for me. I set personal goals for every sport per season, however, never lose focus on what's best for the team. My current GPA is 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. My dad had the privilege of playing two sports at a Division II college which has a huge impact on me. I have a sister and many cousins that have had the opportunity to play at the collegiate level as well. They have been my inspiration. Beyond sports, I stay active with many in and out of school activities: school yearbook, Student Council, Zoetic Zinnias, Campus Life, Math League, jazz dance, and I am active member at my parish. Balancing commitment to a team and remaining focused on academics and my grades is a goal I plan to continue my Junior, Senior and throughout my college career.
