Personal Statement
My goal as a student-athlete is to become the best I can be at what I do in both the classroom, and on the field. I would like to attend a college that will allow me to play softball as well as accommodate my future career goals. I’m aiming to work in the medical field, and have interests in becoming a Physician Assistant.
As a sophomore I received my second Varsity letter from my high school and I was awarded first team all-conference ITCL. For a 150.2 innings pitched I had 253 strikeouts and this year I’m shooting for more. My batting average for my high school team in 2016 was .535, with an on base percentage of .602, and a slugging percentage of 1.042, which I am working to better as well. This year I am pushing myself to improve for the 2017 seasons.
Currently as a Junior, I am academically ranked number two in my class, and striving to be number one. I am planning on taking some of the toughest courses my school offers to get ahead, and prepare me for college. As a senior I will take a dual-credit Biology course and also an Anatomy course since my intended major is in the medical field. This year as a junior, the electives I’m taking are Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Spanish 3 and a dual-credit course called “American Dreams.” My academics are very important to me as I wish to succeed in my future career.
